Located in southeastern New Brunswick’s vibrant urban hub, Dieppe is a modern city boasting four-season arts, culture, shopping, food and festivals. Perfect for a weekend getaway, outdoor enthusiasts and indoor hibernators alike can take advantage of Dieppe’s full schedule of activities and experiences designed to delight, no matter what the weather is.
When You Arrive
You’ve arrived and you’re all settled, but don’t get too comfortable: if it’s Friday evening, we suggest heading out to Mansu BBQ, a much-loved family-owned and operated Korean BBQ restaurant before joining the crowd at Place 1604 for Fun on Ice, a free concert rendez-vous at the refrigerated skating oval, including bonfires, twinkle lights and hot chocolate for all.

Day One – INDOOR FAMILY FUN
Morning: Arts, culture and food
Take in the current art exhibit at the Dieppe Arts and Culture Centre, or check the centre’s special events calendar for all the latest music, arts and comedy programming. Foodies take note: when you’ve worked up an appetite, the Dieppe Market is a must-visit for international food stalls and home-made treats to warm your belly on a winter weekend. Don’t miss the hand-made crafts vendors while you’re there.
Afternoon: Splash out, chill out
The afternoon public swim at the Dieppe Aquatic and Sports Centre is your secret weapon for tiring out the kids on a winter weekend. No kids with you? Splash out at Champlain Place Shopping Centre, with some of the best big brand shopping in the province. When you’ve shopped until you’re ready to drop, take a load off by catching a movie at Cineplex Dieppe.
Night: Cheers to great food and drink
Start your evening out with a flight in the taproom at one of Dieppe’s two craft breweries: CAVOK or Flying Boats. When you’re ready for dinner, you’ll find award-winning cuisine, charming old-world atmosphere and some of the city’s best wine and scotch selections at St. James Gate at Fox Creek Golf Course. Once you’ve had your fill, tuck in for the night at the fresh and modern Hotel Wingate by Wyndham.

Day Two – Outdoor Fun
Morning: Crêpes and snowshoes
Wake up hungry? We suggest you explore the crêpe menu at Café Archibald, and savour some of the most wonderful coffee in town. Once you’re charged up, stop in at Mike’s Bike Shop to outfit your whole gang in rent-by-the-day snowshoes and hit the snowy trails at Rotary Saint-Anselme Park.
Afternoon: Sleigh rides and skating
While you’re at Rotary Saint-Anselme Park, create a wonderful winter memory with an afternoon sleigh ride. Explore the multi-use trails along the Petitcodiac River nearby, then head back over to Place 1604 for a sunset skate at the outdoor skating oval.
