Morning: Slow Right Down
With lots of adventures waiting for you, take some time to take it slow. Stroll down Main Street to browse local specialty stores or check out La Marmite Soapery or Branches Pottery, a studio that offers products from local artisans. If you’re looking for a little something romantic for two, book some spa time at Auberge de la vallée and kick the R&R up a notch.
Afternoon: Rev Up Your Snowmobile
Grab your sled and hit the 1500 km (930 mi.) of snowmobile trails of the Northern Odyssey that you can access directly from Atlantic Host and Danny’s Inn. With lodges and snowmobile clubs like the Nepisiguit Sport Lodge, Chaleur Clubhouse, or Roger’s Lake Lodge happy to welcome you, you’ll not only enjoy great snowmobiling but you might make a new friend or two along the way. When you’re ready to warm up and chow down, head to Atlantic Host for a meal and a drink.
Night: See the Puck Drop
High-calibre action is waiting for you at K.C. Irving Regional Centre, home to the Acadie-Bathurst Titans. This major junior hockey league team, winner of the 2018 Memorial Cup, electrifies the hometown crowd at every game.

Day Two – Crisp Adventures & Brews
Morning: Flurries & Feathers
Make it a family morning and head out to the Daly Point Nature Preserve. Rent snowshoes on site and then feed the birds, an activity the kids are sure to love. Guided tours are available on request, and there are also plenty of group hiking activities and events offered through Nature Kids/Jeunesse NB. The traditional Nepisiguit Mi’gmaq Trail is also great for a snowshoe adventure in the wilderness.
Afternoon: Paths & Pups
There’s definitely no shortage of winter activities to take advantage of here, inside and out. Take the kids for a swim at the Aquatic Centre. Explore city trails with a fat bike, snowshoes, or cross-country skis. The Snow Bears Cross Country Ski Club maintains great trails behind the Nepisiguit River Company and hosts many activities, including a popular loppet in February. Curious and want to try fat biking? Rent one and give this fun sport a try! You can also get your mush on with a dogsledding adventure in Allardville, south of Bathurst.
Night – Cheer & Beers
You’ve had a big day and there’s no better way to end a big day than with a local brew. Stop to taste offerings from the local breweries, 13 Barrels Brewing and Four Rivers Brewing Co., or stop in at Au Bootlegger, which offers a wide selection of New Brunswick-brewed beers.

- The 2020 Bathurst Snowmobile Winter Festival, hosted by the City of Bathurst, will be a popular events with snowmobilers near and far. (February 14-16)
