Come see Canada’s beloved sport the way it’s meant to be played at the famous World Pond Hockey Championships.
Just The Facts
4on4 Hockey | 120 Teams | 20 rinks | 1 perfect Canadian Experience
120 teams from 12 provinces/territories, 45 U.S. States, and 15 countries; and you?
Join the party
The tournament started 15 years ago as a humble fundraiser for a new arena facility.
Now thousands of spectators & hundreds of competitors from around the world descend on Plaster Rock (pop. 1,135) each February to celebrate Canada’s greatest pastime.
It’s kinda a big deal now. Featured on TV networks and publications around the world. Last year THE GREAT ONE himself was in attendance.
During the day, 120 teams compete to be crowned the ‘World Champions’ of Pond Hockey (though really, the goal is just to have fun).
And then in the evening there’s most likely a party or two to be found to hoist a pint after the game. This -is- Canada after-all.
Where to stay
As the event gets more popular, it’s very important to book your accommodations early if you’re planning to stay late into the evening.
HERE is a list of accommodations recommended by the organizers.
If you want to make a day trip in to see some games, you can stay anywhere along the River Valley Scenic Drive from Fredericton (2hrs to Plaster Rock) to Edmundston (1hr to Plaster Rock).
