- 3-5 hours total
- Included: drinks, snacks, equipment
- Offered in English (hosts can also speak/understand some French)
About Your Hosts
Alex Vietinghoff and Shauna Chase are two craft beer lovers and Fredericton locals who are passionate about sharing their love of beer with anyone who will listen! Together they created the feature documentary Beerocracy on the growing craft beer scene in New Brunswick. They regularly attend beer events in the city and beyond, and love to try any new beers on offer at local breweries.
What We'll Do
With guests, we’ll rent bikes and cycle along Fredericton’s trail system on both the north and south sides of the beautiful Saint John River, visiting some of the city’s best breweries. Depending on how far guests would like to bike and how much time they want to devote to the tour, we can hit up anywhere from two to five locations that serve delicious capital city-made beer and cider.
What We'll Provide
- Bottled water
- Snacks (Covered Bridge Chips and I’m Here & I’m Hungry oat cakes)
- One beer flight or one pint of beer from each location
- Bicycle and helmet rental
- Pamphlet/map to check off breweries and list beers sampled
- Conversation with Alex and Shauna
Where We'll Be
We’ll stay downtown and on the north side of Fredericton. Starting at Savage’s bike rentals on King St., we’ll let the guests decide what you’d like to sample first: cider or beer, and take it from there. Graystone Brewing, Red Rover Cider, and the famous James Joyce Pub are all downtown. We’ll bike across the walking bridge and visit the Picaroons Roundhouse on the northside waterfront, then make our way to Trailway Brewing on Main Street. If we have any avid bikers among us we can even head further down Main St. to visit York County Cider.
Who Can Attend
Beer enthusiasts welcomed, from craft beer novices to certified beer geeks! Guests must be 19 years or older to attend. We can accommodate 1-6 people per outing slot.
This experience will be offered in afternoons or early evenings during summer 2018.
