1. Town of Sackville
Between the Sackville Waterfowl Park, Lillas Fawcett Park, and all the adorable downtown cafés in this university town, you’ll have more Instagram options than you know what to do with. A portion of The Great Trail also runs through here, connecting Sackville with Cape Tormentine through a tantalizing mix of Acadian dyke lands, woodlands, and salt marshes.
2. Covered Bridges
There are more than 50 covered bridges in New Brunswick... just think of the photo book you could make! Some are easy to find, others are a little more challenging. The scenery in rural New Brunswick is gorgeous in the fall, so make a day of it and head out on a fiery-hued hunt for these photogenic "kissing bridges".
3. Coastal Islands
One of Canada’s most unique fall landscapes is right here in New Brunswick, on Miscou Island. The peat bogs turn a brilliant red for their fall photo-op. For a different kind of scenery head south to the Fundy Isles, where you’ll be treated to fishing harbours and rocky beaches lit up with a dreamy autumn glow.
4. Provincial and National Parks
There’s really no better place for colour than New Brunswick parks. They’re protected, unspoiled, and full of autumn amazingness. The best part is that you can find such a wide variety of scenery, from Appalachian Mountains to riverside foliage and coastal wilderness. Looking to capture the quintessential fall camping shot? You can even get that, too.
5. Urban Cityscapes
Cities aren’t typically the first thing to come to mind when taking fall photos, but think of them as the supporting actor in your fall spectacular. Pictures of leaf-littered streets, cosy cafés, and overflowing farmers markets can add interest to your photos while still letting the foliage be the star of the show.
